Trucker Injured In Logging Truck Mishap Near Riley Creek
Brownie J. Balison 815 Church Street sustained fractured ribs when a logging truck slipped off a soft roadside shoulder on Riley Creek Road. Deputy Robert Ward said Balison had exited the cab and was struck by the truck as it slid down a small embankment. He was taken to Bonner General Hospital with satisfactory condition.

Water hookup suit in Sandpoint proceeds against city leaders
City Attorney Roger Hanlon filed an answer for the Sandpoint City Council and Mayor Les Brown to a Molstead water hookup lawsuit. The amended complaint seeks a water hookup on property outside city limits, 7500 for extreme mental anguish, and, in separate trial, 45000 general damages and 25000 punitive damages against individual defendants. The plaintiffs ask damages be charged to city officials rather than taxpayers.
