Graveside services for Joseph Alexander Carter 87

Graveside services for Joseph Alexander Carter 87 will be held at Pinecrest Memorial Park on Saturday October 16 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Don Gibbons officiating. Carter died October 13 at Bonner General Hospital. Born August 5, 1884 in Arkansas, he came to Bonner County in the early 1900s and lived at Kootenai prior to moving to Sand Point. He is survived by two brothers C. R. Carter and J. I. Carter of Tulsa Oklahoma, one sister Mrs J R Charlesworth Springdale Arkansas, and several nieces and nephews including Mrs Bee Harmann Spokane.

First Time For Tax Notes In Idaho Building Fund

Boise Utah UPI reports the Permanent Building Fund Council will issue tax anticipation notes for the first time due to tight finances. A vocational education facility request of 302680 for the Idaho prison program awaits funds. matching grants from the Law Enforcement Planning Assistance Agency will come when state money is available. Delays could stretch six months as Warden Raymond May seeks a legislative supplemental. The council notes only 37360 will remain in the fund, risking project cuts unless notes are issued at six to seven percent interest and repaid by June 1972.
