Elk Hunter Shot Near Wallace
Barry E. Mathews, 23, Smelterville, died after an elk hunting incident in the Grizzly Ridge area west of Kellogg. He was taken to West Shoshone County Hospital by his hunting companion and the companion's two sons. Funeral services are set for Wednesday at the American Lutheran Church in Kellogg with burial in Kellogg Cemetery.
