Pair Beaten Robbed in Priest River Hotel
A Spokane couple, Mr and Mrs Houston, were beaten and robbed in the King's Hotel at Priest River around 2 am Monday. The assailant forced a room door lock and stole an unknown amount from two wallets before fleeing. A suspect, identified as Thomas Noyes of Omak Washington, was arrested two miles west of town and jailed. Officers Nelson and James aided the arrest with local citizen Andy Jasper. Bond to be set today.

Missing Couple Found Unharmed in Maine Creek Area

Myron C. Schmidt of Priest River totaled a 1950 Pontiac and tore out seven sections of guard rail at 2 45 a m Monday near Albeni Falls. Officer Donnie Fiedler cited him for inattentive driving. Schmidt was uninjured.
