Southside residents approve a plan to bus grades 1 2 7 8 to Sagle Elementary and grades 3 4 5 6 to Old Farmin while two sites may host temporary classrooms. Six Children Die In Blaze In Cleveland Home
Six children aged 3 to 9 from the Herman Jackson family died in a fire on Cleveland's East Side. Firemen said they apparently suffocated in a second floor bedroom as the blaze overwhelmed the house, which was already out of control when crews arrived. The mother slept on the first floor and woke to find flames. the cause was not immediately determined but may have started in the living room of the two story frame house at 214.

Two Youths Arraigned as School Fire Suspects
Dale Wilcox and Michael Taylor, 16, were charged with burglary and arson following a fire at Southside School ten miles south of Sandpoint. A third juvenile faced a misdemeanor count of malicious destruction of property. Wilcox held on 7500 dollar bond, Taylor on 2500 dollars.
