Power Outlook Improves in Northwest After Rainfall Boost

Merrill Schultz says fall and winter power needs can be met without curtailments due to above normal September rainfall and increased cross border hydro supply. No Changes Council Confirms Sandpoint Election Results

Harold Huff is mayor elect of Sandpoint and Wes Johnson Bert Lines and Teresa Deshon will join the City Council January 9 joining incumbent Joe Venishnick. The council validated Tuesday's results and ballot counts without a recount. Huff defeated Emma Lou Hook by 18 votes and Lane outpolled Ron Hunt by 10 to win a four year council seat. Idaho law requires a candidate to file for a recount with the attorney general and post a cash bond. bond refund depends on recount outcome.
