A suit charging Sherman Act violation was filed in U S District Court Boise by Emerald Empire Distributors against Carnation Co seeking an injunction and 4.06 million. It claims former Carnation employees Merrill and Surby formed a distributorship to take over collection and retail delivery and that Carnation moved in on March 26 1974 with direct delivery and lower prices, cutting out private distributors and warehouses to supply retailers including Spokane.
