Ralph D. Kizer, Idaho Panhandle Forests Supervisor, announced Louisiana-Pacific Corporation of Sandpoint Idaho was the high bidder on the Stoney Copper timber sale. The sealed bid at Coeur d Alene office on May 25 1976 raised appraised value from 149600.20 to 183412.60 for 5690 M board feet of sawlogs. Major species are white pine and ponderosa pine with minor volumes of other species. Sale located on the Fennan Ranger District.

A rock and roll dance for area youth aged 13 to 17 is set for Saturday night from 8 to 11 at Stidwell Junior High gym. Organizers led by Michael Guilfoil and Richard Taylor emphasize chaperoned event with no alcohol or drugs and police patrol to ensure safety.
