Solar Expo Showcases Bright Future for Solar Power
About 50 companies gathered for the International Solar Industry Expo 75, a major energy trade show in Washington. The event, sponsored by FEA ERDA and the Solar Energy Industries Association, highlights solar heating tubes by Corning Glass Works, a plug‑in solar furnace by International Solarthermics Corp, and Solarex solar cells. FAA plans to power an Alaska beacon with the new cells. GSA awarded a $47,710 contract to Sceva Construction for work at the U S Border Station in Porthill Idaho.
