Forest ORV Plan Being Set Up by Idaho Panhandle NF
Idaho Panhandle National Forests develop a forest wide ORV travel plan to regulate off road vehicle use on federal lands. The plan follows executive order 11644 and defines ORVs as motorized vehicles for cross country travel. Public participation is sought with meetings and comments through 1975 and a full plan implementation by 1976.

Sandpoint Council closes beach drive loop on trial basis
The Sandpoint City Council voted unanimously to close the beach drive loop to auto traffic for one year and hire a night watchman to curb vandalism. Missing drugs probe ties to Bonner County courthouse
