Doctors and students misjudge their own death study
A May Journal of Medical Education survey of 78 Canadian medical nursing and divinity students at McMaster University asked them to fill mock death certificates. Of 30 completed forms 21 were from women and heart disease was the most cited cause followed by accidents. Students predicted an average death age of 70.3 years with none expecting June July or August death and nearly three quarters predicting winter death.

U.S. Senator James A. McClure urged the Army Corps of Engineers to define limits to its jurisdiction over Idaho waters amid disputes around Coeur dAlene and Priest Lake. He proposed transferring authority on disputed waterways to the state, arguing states capable of managing water issues should be allowed to. The Corps agreed to consider changes as McClure recalled his grandfather rebuilding stream fences without permits.
