Boise Magistrate Fired Over Conduct Seeks Supreme Court Review
James L. Schoenhut a 43 year old district magistrate from Cascade says he may appeal his dismissal to the Supreme Court to gain equal treatment with other judges. He claims the Fourth District Court used different rules than those for Supreme Court justices and district judges. Chief Justice Shepard offered no comment on rule differences. The dismissal followed a secret investigation and a closed hearing alleging he slept with a prostitute in a Boise motel.
