Sandpoint Man Sentenced to Five Years for Burglary

An 18 year old Sandpoint resident received five years in the Idaho state penitentiary with 120 days retained on a first degree burglary charge linked to the Recreation Unlimited break in dated Dec 2 1973. Judges also placed two California men on probation and ordered a presentence investigation for another suspect in a Coolin cabin theft.

Kidwell Attacks Idaho Attorney General Over Open Legal Opinions

Rough water shuts Kamloops fishing on the lake

Wind and rough water kept boats in harbor at Garfield Bay and Bayview while John Nichols of Laclede led catches with a 14 pound 8 ounce Kamloop on his second trip. His wife Dorothy also reported a five pound Kamloop, and other anglers weighed Dolly Varden and bokanee at nearby locations.

Idaho Gov Andrus Hedges News With New Reorganization Plan

Newly issued guidelines for 11 agencies under the governor's office require news releases and media contacts to be coordinated with the governor's press secretary. Gov Cecil D Andrus approves all news contacts and legislative dealings, and major programs or federal grants must be cleared first. William J Murphy will direct the executive office and be the sole agency contact, while agencies inform Murphy of meetings and minutes.
