Three Car Crash Hospitalizes Two

A three car collision occurred just after midnight on Highway 95 two miles south of the Long Bridge. Terry Clay and Patrick Gunter collided, sending Clay into a ditch. Passengers Debora Bush and Patrick Keane remained hospitalized with facial cuts and minor injuries. Keane expected to be released.

Northern Lights Receives $873000 Rural Electrification Loan

Wm. T. Nordeen. General Manager, Northern Lights. announced a telegram from E. C. Weitzell of the Rural Electrification Administration confirming an $873,000 loan approval. The funds will finance 46 miles of new line and facilities for 500 new customers, with about 18 months of capital support. Construction includes a nine mile underground line along Priest Lake and a six mile transmission line, expanding service to nearly the entire lake area. Work spans Montana, Idaho, and Washington with expected growth in Bonner County.

EWSC Honors Two Students For Winter Quarter

Sandpoint junior Susan P. Knaggs earned perfect all A grades and joined EWSC winter quarter honor roll. Michael Gass, also on the honor list, is a Sandpoint High School graduate and EWSC sophomore majoring in marketing. Both are English and BA degree candidates.

Officers Elected By Credit Board

Harold Overland of Grouse Creek was elected president of the Bonner County Cooperators Federal Credit Union. Frank Cochrane was named vice president with Mrs. Lowava Erickson as secretary and Mrs. Leona Irish as treasurer. Warren Lutey becomes member and public information officer while Clinton Campbell and Charles Schoonover are to be named new board members. The 29 year old, member owned institution has 500 members and assets over 200000 dollars. Business hours are 9 to 5 on Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Sandpoint Coop office.

K and K Planners Meet Tuesday
