Ed Abromeit dies at burglary scene in Sandpoint store
Police interrupted a burglary in progress at the Pend Oreille Sport Shop in Sandpoint. Edward Abromeit, proprietor, arrived and suffered an apparent heart attack, dying at the scene. Three suspects are in custody, two in city jail and one in county jail. Officers Batt and Bourassa led the response around 7 20 p.m.
