Senate Health Tax Bill Advances To Floor
The Senate Local Government and Taxation Committee sent to the floor a bill allowing county commissioners to levy up to two mills to fund regional health districts. Senator Warren Brown questioned if the levy is mandatory, but Des Aulniers said the bill is flexible and needed to support district programs.
