Coroner's jury rules death accidental in Montana man
A seven member coroner's jury ruled the June 17 death of 32 year old Gerald L Brown of Poplar Montana accidental after hearing over four and a half hours of testimony. The jury recommends a thorough investigation of the Sandpoint City Police handling of the matter. Brown was killed on US Highway 95 at Colburn when hit by a Roundup Grocery truck driven by Corwin A Williams of Spokane. An autopsy has been performed but results are not yet forwarded. An official liquor law investigation is also underway.

Four Killed In Montana Crash Near Noxon
Four occupants of a small pickup died when the vehicle left Montana 200 nine miles west of Noxon. Trooper Perry Brown identified the driver as Robert Glenn Franck 21 Trout Creek. Passengers were Royce A. Hough 22 Thompson Falls Wayne Albert Gerstenberger 21 Trout Creek and Carl Ross 18 Trout Creek. The eastbound truck reportedly lost control on a soft shoulder causing a rollover.
