Livestock prices show barrows and gilts 200-300 lbs mostly steady with some shifts. 240-270 and 270-300 lb ranges cited. Steers and heifers largely down about 50 cents. cows steady. Feeder trades steady to weak with high and prime lots listed for various weights. Slaughter lambs 31.00 to 32.00, ewes 4.50 to 7.25, some higher.

Spokane man cited after sleep at wheel crash near Sandpoint

Sheriff logs report no injuries after a Friday crash 20 miles south of Sandpoint on US 95. Gary Lee Nelson, 20, of Spokane, drove off the road after crossing the center line and the car rolled. Nelson was cited for inattentive driving. Hospital notes list admit dates July 26 for Nona Evans Ina Sheppard and Kermit Drak with dismissals for Bart Ingle Kevin Piatt.

Pacific Northwest Library Association Holds Boise Workshop
