No Cap No Swim Cape Horn Resort Destroyed By Fire
A fire at the Cape Horn Resort on Lake Pend Oreille destroyed the log cabin complex after 2 15 a m on Wednesday. Losses totaled 80000 in property 12000 in merchandise and 1500 in cash. The U S Naval facility crew aided volunteers and the fire ended by 5 a m. The resort owned by Cape Horn Properties Inc had been leased to Mrs Lou Cummings who was in Canada. The fire was reported by her son Laurie Cummings 25. The structure dated to 1942 with additions in 1960 and 1969.

Colleges To Get Grants From Congress Announcement
