Rescue called off for 9 year old boy in Casper mountains
In Casper Wyoming a 9 year old boy Kevin Dye who is mentally retarded and epileptic disappeared Sunday during a family picnic. He has the mentality of a three or four year old and escaped many rescues. Over 2,000 volunteers with parents helicopters and dogs hunted him. Authorities paused operations Thursday night hoping calm would allow resumed search Saturday. Kevin has been spotted from Air Force helicopters but fled ground teams each time. Food was left along routes to prevent starvation. Sheriff Bill Estes spokesman cited the search setback as halted to regain composure.

Packing Co Fire Ravages Emmett Packing Plant
A fire at the Cannon fruit packing facilities in Emmett destroyed the main packing shed a barn and an office building along with two 40 by 40 foot cold storage units and equipment. The blaze started about 1 30 a m and took four hours to control. Cause undetermined but suspected electrical short in wiring. Investigation ongoing by Gem County sheriff and Emmett Fire Department.
