Twin Falls Sheriff Seizes Local Prisoner in Plea Deal

Leonard L. Bromley pleaded guilty in Justice Court to malicious destruction of private property, with a $300 fine and 60 days in jail after burglary charges were reduced from first degree burglary. Burglary Attempt Foiled at Wes' Tire Shop

The owner of Wes' Tire Shop on Baldy Road frightened off burglars early Sunday morning. Entry was gained via a rear door not forced. A older model pickup was used in the getaway, according to a sheriff's report.

Youth faces court action after scattering money on East Beach

A 17 year old Connecticut resident walked nude on East Beach at Charlestown Rhode Island ripping five dollar bills and scattering the pieces in the surf. Police said he appeared under LSD influence and his name was withheld.

Sheriff Office Reports Hoodoo Mountain Crash In Bonner County

A Bonner County Sheriff's car sustained non injurious damage Saturday on Hoodoo Mountain Road near Edgemere. Deputy David Hare,Priest River, reported Sharyn Dougall 16 Spirit Lake drove on the wrong side and struck the patrol car. Dougall received two citations for license and reckless driving. Warren White faced a charge for permitting an unauthorized minor to drive.

Mishap Kills Troy Logger in Bonner County

Troy Montana man Dave Cripe died in a logging accident on Battle Creek Road east of Clark Fork when a 3 by 30 foot white pine log rolled from the skid road dragging the skidder. His body was found about 6:30 p.m. by his brother Jerry Cripe. No foul play was indicated.

SBA Man Due Wednesday

A Small Business Administration representative will visit Sandpoint on Wednesday July 22 to assist local businessmen. William S. Schumacher, director of the Spokane SBA office, will be available 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce to offer counsel and a range of services including financial aid. Pontoons At City Beach Remain Unclaimed

Supt. Bob Lindsay of Parks and Recreation reports ownership of two pontoons by the city beach boat ramp cannot be established. The pontoons have sat for about two months and must be removed for cleanup. Local authorities seek the owner to reclaim or remove them.

Two Idahoans Killed In Separate Highway Accidents

The weekend deaths of Mancel F. Glover, 52, Kamiah, and Mildred Crossley, 57, Boise, raised Idaho's 1970 traffic toll to 156. Crossley died from injuries after a June 22 pedestrian crash on Highway 44 near Boise, caused by Lloyd Teller, 29, Nampa. Glover died when his motorcycle collided head on with a pickup driven by Joe Lyons, 21, Kooskia, on U S Highway 12 about 15 miles west of Lolo.
