The Idaho First National Bank branch in Sandpoint held a Saturday dedication with a grand opening and prizes. John Nobel won a color TV on Monday. E. C. Madsen earned a free fishing trip aboard Pete Weatherford’s boat for guessing the Kamloops weight. Winners also received five $10 savings certificates, five $10 beef certificates, and five Master Charge credits of $25 each, with listed recipients across savings, beef, and credits.

Six Hurt As Stage Coach Rolls Over in Yellowstone
At Yellowstone National Park Hospital six of 21 aboard a stage coach were listed in serious condition after a Sunday morning rollover. Vern Hennesay said none of the injured were in critical condition though many suffered broken bones and head injuries. Twelve were hospitalized overnight.

Four Injured In Smashup Near Sandpoint
Four youths from Priest River were injured in a one car crash six miles west of Sandpoint on US 2. Driver Kenneth W. Corning, 17, and passengers Edward M Hammeren 19 Jeffery Sherman Peek 20 Nickolas N Moriniti 19 were thrown from the car after it left the road and flipped end over end. The vehicle traveled about 48 feet airborne before bursting into flames.
