Sandpoint High Class of 1960 Reunion Held Across Weekend
The Sandpoint High School Class of 1960 celebrated its tenth annual reunion July 10 to 12. Events opened Friday at the Townhouse with films of past Bulldogs games. Saturday featured a dinner at the Sandpoint Elks Club with several special awards and dancing to the Moonlighters. A Sunday beach picnic capped the gathering.

Newport Brothers Arrested in Garfield Bay Burglary
Eldon Bitton and Richard Bitton both of Newport Washington were captured after a car chase following a burglary at Millage Resort in Garfield Bay. Deputy Hare and Priest River Officer Nelson aided in the arrest. the men await arraignment in Bonner County Justice Court on first degree burglary charges.

In Marina Del Rey a 22 year old skindiver, Rob C. Baker of Venice, was gaffed by Walter Sedach, 51, Beverly Hills, who mistook him for a large fish. The five inch hook pierced Baker's left thigh as he worked under a cabin cruiser. Sheriff deputies reported the incident occurred Monday.
