Federal food stamp abuse minimal say Spokane official

Paperboys Strike Chronicle Here

Spokane Daily Chronicle paperboys in Sandpoint went on strike for higher pay, then received a raise already authorized by district manager Gwendal Osborn. The raise totals ten cents per paper per carrier per month, though Osborn refused to confirm carrier numbers and claimed most parents were unaware. Ken Pearlstein argued the strike prompted the raise and accused the Chronicle of exploitative practices including unreturned savings bonds and unreimbursed supplies.
