Pilot Association Warns of Airport Boycotts Over Security
Los Angeles based Air Line Pilots Association president Capt Don McBain told a state senate subcommittee that pilots may boycott airports lacking adequate detection systems against hijacking. He cited 450 lives lost in the past decade and 117 hijackers at large, urging certification of safety before takeoff.
