Elderly Priest River Man Burned In Camper Fire Near Golf Course
Ludwig Swanberg was in extremely critical condition with burns covering about 80 percent of his body after a morning fire in his camper near Priest River Golf Course. Sheriff Wilcox said a cigarette could have started the blaze. Swanberg from Priest River was treated at Newport Hospital before transfer to Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane. He was alone in the camper when the fire broke out.

Sunshine To Go On Air In Idaho Petition Drive
The sunshine initiative petition campaign heads to radio airwaves Wednesday to collect final signatures in Lewiston Twin Falls Pocatello and nearby areas. State coordinator Mary Mech says the Sunshine Projects committee has 22 778 signatures and aims for 24 512 by the end of the air sprint.

Lions Club Prepares Sandpoint Fourth of July Festivities
