Merrill and Surby Bay Local Carnation Plant Sale

Fred Merrill and Art Surby of Sandpoint announce the purchase of the Carnation plant in Sandpoint from Carnation Company Spokane effective Jan 1 1970 for about $75 000. The firm Emerald Distributors Inc will retain staff Harold Overland John Deeter and Ralph Crabb and add Paul Hart. two contract jobbers Leonard Powell and Richard Wilkinson. About $40 000 of new equipment is added as Carnation products continue to be distributed in the Sandpoint area including Missoula Libby Bonners Ferry Thompson Falls Bonner County and Newport Washington.

Free First Aid Course For Sandpoint Students And Public

Free first aid classes begin next Thursday January 29 at 7 p.m. in Room 2 at Sandpoint Senior High School. Open to anyone 16 or older with no cost.
