Supreme Court upholds Indian tribes liquor regulating power
The Supreme Court unanimously affirmed tribes' authority to regulate liquor sales on private land within reservations. The 1953 law delegating liquor control to Indians was proper and not unconstitutionally vague, reversing a lower court ruling for the Wind River Reservation case involving the Blue Bull Bar in Ft. Washakie.
