Nixon estate mortgage paid by undisclosed donor

A $523000 certified check from an undisclosed source was expected to settle $506000 in back mortgage plus $17000 interest on Richard Nixon's Casa Pacifica estate. Attorney Charles Horning said a new mortgage holder would take over, with Nixon still owing interest and further payments per a revised plan.
