Hearing Slated For Area Waste Management
A public hearing in Sandpoint on Feb 5 will discuss designating the Panhandle Planning and Development Council as the regional body for area wide waste treatment planning. The move, proposed Jan 9 by Jim Kimball and Jim Runsvold, requires Gov Cecil D Andrus approval and could unlock a 100 percent EPA grant. The council also authorized negotiating with Idaho to designate the Panhandle Council as the regional planning agency under CETA. The Feb meeting will be held in the Community Hall.
