Snowmobile Rally Set for Sunday at Sandpoint Ranch
The third annual Sandpoint Snowmobile Rally co chaired by Chet Howell and George Harper will occur Sunday January 17 at the B Bar D Ranch seven miles north of Sandpoint on U S 95. Entrants pay 6 dollars with half for prize money and sale buttons at the gate 1 dollar now 1 50 at the gate. Main winners receive 100 dollars in cash. Classes cover 0 to 300 cc up to open. Refreshments provided by B Bar D Ranch management.

Nursing Home Fire Kills 17 in Louisville Area
A Westminster Terrace Presbyterian Nursing Home blaze in Beaches suburb killed at least 17 elderly residents. Firemen said the 2 a.m. fire confined mostly to a basement dining area as heavy smoke filled the four story building. Doctors cited suffocation as the primary cause. Seventy seven survivors were sheltered at a church nearby and in neighbors homes and a garage.

Two Youths Found Hanged In Pasadena Backyard
