The Board of Trustees of School District 82 re appraised Old Farmin School in Sandpoint at 125000 and approved sale to Idaho First National Bank for that sum. The bank will use the site for a future branch with no immediate plans due to lease obligations.

Beaudoin Tells Role Of Sports At Chamber Meet
Ken Beaudoin athletic director of Sandpoint High School spoke to Chamber of Commerce members at the Sandpoint Elks Club. He said the foundation of any school lies in a good physical education program and highlighted Sandpoint’s four major sports football basketball track and wrestling with golf as a minor sport. He noted the Junior Tackle Program adds years of football experience and urged improvements including an adequate gymnasium, girls program, video equipment, and a weight lifting and wrestling room.

Snowy Morning Bus Collision Near Westmond
A Tuesday 8 50 a m crash on US 95 caused by blinding snow and following too close injured no one but rattled eleven riders. Empire Bus Lines northbound bus was rear ended by Mark R Grannis 18 of Coeur d Alene. Grannis cited for driving too fast for road conditions. Bus damage about 500 dollars and Grannis car over 800 dollars.
