Stormy Idaho Weather Strands Vehicles and Helpless Areas
Heavy winds rain and snow struck northern and eastern Idaho with gusts up to 150 mph near Pasco and 91 mph at Moscow. The Weather Bureau said a cold front and low pressure system drove the storm, causing power outages, road closures, drifting snow, and evacuations near Idaho Falls Arco and Ammon while Red Cross aided stranded residents and buses rerouted.
