Supreme Court lets stand Demo Reform plan for convention delegates
The Supreme Court declined to hear a challenge to the Democratic National Committee delegate apportionment for the 1972 Miami Beach convention. The plan allocates 46 percent of seats by state voting strength and 54 percent by each state's electoral votes. Local party groups may fill their allotted seats, ending the suit by big state Democrats. Community notices include veterans groups meeting January 1 and civic events in Sandpoint and surrounding areas.
