A severe wind storm swept eastern Washington and northern Idaho since Friday. Spokane logged an all time high gust of 67 mph at the airport, with outages, downed lines, and damaged boats, roofs, and a chair lift at Schweitzer Ski Basin. No injuries reported.

Coeur d Alene area men escaped unharmed when a Burlington Northern southbound mail train struck their car at the old Schweitzer Crossing north of town.
