Cloud seeding plans cancelled in Montana basin
Bonneville Power Administration has canceled plans to seed clouds in the Hungry Horse Dam Basin in northwestern Montana this month. The EPA cited preliminary snowpack measures showing about 120 percent of normal for this time of year, signaling no need to increase snowfall or runoff next spring and summer. Complete regional snow survey results were not yet available, but early figures indicated near normal to slightly below normal conditions in the Upper Columbia River Drainage area.
