Three Killed Police Chief Game Warden Shot In Thompson Falls
In Thompson Falls Montana a 26 year old sawmill worker Albert Stout shot and killed Police Chief Don Williams and Game Warden Gene Sara during a confrontation at his mobile home. Undersheriff Bob Wolf survived the exchange as Stout died in the gun battle. Sanders County Sheriff Lon Cheney said Williams answered a family dispute call and was killed with a 30 06 rifle. Sara was struck by bullets from either Sara s pistol or Wolf s revolver. The motive remained unclear and an autopsy was pending to determine the weapon that killed Stout.
