Yablonski Slayings Linked to Miners Union Turmoil
Authorities probed a bitter dispute over the miners union election amid the murders of Joseph Yablonski, his wife Margarita, and daughter Charlotte in their home near a coal town. Investigators say nine bullets were fired, with likely multiple killers. The killings are placed around New Year’s Day, while Tony Boyle and state police downplay any link to the union race. The FBI joined the case as pathologists noted the bodies were posed after a morning slaying.
