Bunker Hill Open to Emission Plan with Limits
Boise UPI James Halley president of Bunker Hill Co said a proposed state regulation to curb sulfur oxide from lead-zinc smelters would be costly but workable. He warned a mid 1975 deadline for the 24 hour standard is unworkable and could force a 30 percent drop in output. Halley urged Idaho officials to pursue meeting ambient standards by 1977 with less interim curtailment and said EPA objections should not block the plan.

Grazing Land Rules Await Washington Guidance

A federal court in Washington ruled that a nationwide EIS is too general and urged geographic statements. In Idaho there are six BLM districts, five used for grazing, with more than 2,600 stockmen applying for grazing permits annually.
