Sportsmen Oppose Joint Big Game Opening Date
The Bonner County Sportsmen Association voted to oppose Idaho Fish and Game’s plan to combine October big game opening dates. They argued a single date would concentrate hunter pressure, while biologist Ray Rodgers noted later openings could affect elk cows and calves more. Trophy antler awards were announced for Whitetail and Mule Deer, with several racks and scores highlighted, including a 33415 point elk rack and 160 and 1621 point whitetails.
