Northern Lights Inc filed with the Federal Power Commission for a preliminary permit to study a two unit hydroelectric dam at Kootenai Falls four miles east of Troy Montana. The project would generate 140000 kilowatts with underground powerhouse and canal diversion. Engineers Harza and Sewell and Associates are conducting studies.

Idaho to Lose Federal Funds for Alcohol Safety Project

Idaho Senate Defeats ERA Rescinder Resolution
In Boise the Idaho Senate defeated a House initiated attempt to rescind ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment by a vote of 18 to 18 after a roll call. Sen.
