Early lambing brings triplets to Bob Goody’s flock
Bob Goody reports an unusually early lambing season with three triplets born to a ewe just a day before. He cares for about 60 lambs amid cold weather, bottle feeding the smallest, and notes most of his 80 ewes have lambed. He sells about 25 lambs per year at the Spokane slaughterhouse and sees growing local interest in wool and lamb production.

Water Floodes Priest River Junior High School
A burst water pipe in the old section of Priest River Junior High flooded a girls dressing room sick room laundry area and a small bathroom. Principal Roy Krogh said lack of insulation along the exterior pipe caused the leak and insulation had been removed during gym shower and laundry expansions. Electricians began installing an automatic heater to prevent future freezing. A similar incident occurred when the building was built three years ago before insulation was added during later construction.
