Pack River owes Sandpoint $33921 for timber in watershed

Sandpoint Mayor Les Brown disclosed Pack River Lumber Co. owes the city $33,921.67 for timber cut within the city watershed from July 14 to December 3, 1975. The company is restructuring and creditors meetings indicate hope the debt will be paid within 18 months, with some funds expected by end of 1976.

State Aging Director Disputes Local Spending Claim

Idaho aging officials rebut a PPDC planner’s claim that only about 10 cents of each federal dollar reaches local levels. Priest River Girl Wins D C Trip

Firm Plans Local Phone Directory Battle This Fall

Bonner County residents will see two phone directories next September as Phone Directories Company expands into the area in direct competition with General Telephone. Jolene Brown and Doug Switzer say listings will be bought or sourced locally if needed and that 15,000 to 18,000 directories will be hand delivered to all homes in the Sandpoint region including Priest River Priest Lake Athol and Noxon.
