Seasonal weather brings near normal temps and scattered snow
United Press International reports broad national weather with near normal temperatures and sparse precipitation. Snow flurries appear in the Great Lakes and Northeast while a 5 to 15 inch band stretches from Southern Wisconsin to Central New England due to a past heavy snowstorm. Massena New York retains 24 inches of snow. Rain touches both coasts and temperatures range from 5 below zero in Minnesota to 70 in Florida. An ice storm hit Northern New Jersey, knocking down wires and breaking tree limbs.
