City Receives 35035 In Revenue Sharing Money
Sandpoint City received its first Revenue Sharing check from the federal government announced by City Clerk Ken Hackworth. The $33,035 payment will relieve deficits in the Fire Department with $10,035 and bolster the current expense fund to reduce red ink. The council also appointed Jack Leckner as Superintendent of Public Works and approved planter boxes with evergreens along First Avenue and Cedar Streets. Additional items include traffic safety updates and beer licenses for local venues. Hollywood note: Helen Reddy gave birth to a son, Jordan Sommers Wald, in Cedars of Lebanon Hospital.
