City Receives 35035 In Revenue Sharing Money
Sandpoint officials announced a first Revenue Sharing check of 35035 from the federal government at a City Council meeting. The funds will relieve the Fire Department with 10035 and bring the current expense fund out of the red. The council also approved Jack Leckner as Public Works Superintendent, planter boxes by Bonner County Realtors, and new traffic safety measures while denying snowmobile movement on streets. Beer licenses were granted to Riccardos Tam O Shanter IGA and Inks.

James M. Kimball will assume duties December 13 as acting regional director based in Lewiston to oversee air water and solid waste programs from Riggins to the Canadian border. The plan decentralizes the Idaho DEPH, placing trained staff closer to local problems and enhancing cooperation with District Health Departments.

Dorn Paralyzed From Chest Down After Logging Accident
Mrs. William Dorn reports her husband injured in a logging accident near Noxon Montana last week has been paralyzed from the chest down with neck and spinal injuries. Doctors warned the condition could be permanent, and Dorn is expected to remain in Sacred Heart Hospital Spokane for about a month before therapy in California and a year perhaps before returning home.
