Snow covered roads caused numerous dit chings in Bonner County with no injuries reported. One collision occurred two miles south of Sandpoint on US 95 at Fish Hatchery Road, involving Rosemary F. Raynor and Lloyd R. Christensen, totaling about 175 dollars in damages. No citations were issued.

Woman Found in Snow Near Idaho City and Baby Dies
A barefoot mother sitting in a snowstorm on a mountain road led to the death of her eight month old son Andrew under fresh snow. The other child, 3 year old Matthew, was found alive in a car. The mother Wilma Lindsey, 26, was hospitalized with frostbite. Sheriff Williams said the two were traveling from Emmett when their car stalled at Mores Creek Summit. The mother walked toward Idaho City with the infant. she collapsed two miles from the car after possibly dropping the child.
