The Sandpoint City Council unanimously approves City Ordinance No. 438 requiring vacant lot owners to level ground and remove weeds debris. If owners neglect, city workers may perform upkeep and bill the owners. The measure targets non resident owners to meet fire and safety codes.
The Sandpoint City Council allocated extra funds to cover half of a community hall remodeling project estimated at 10 000 dollars for city and county costs. The plan includes lowering ceilings and interior repairs. The city had set 1800 dollars as its share and the rest is split with the county.
Al Eggleston and Alan Brown donated about 20 stools that double as chairs and foot stools and $62 in contributions since last Thursday as the Toys for Tots drive nears its final week. The fundraiser aims to reach $4,000 with added gifts and the Edgewater benefit dinner on December 20.
