Engineer Vemeer says the county will adopt a building code as an ordinance in early 1975 and a public hearing may not be required by law. Idaho officials indicate the state will adopt a uniform code by 1976 to qualify for flood insurance, with the county having until July next year to accept the code.
The Bonner County School Board on Tuesday debated using the Lincoln School building for a physical education facility for first and second graders or designating the space as a storage area at the new Administration Office site. Trustee Verhei will consult the Forest Service on portable options while PTA improvements, including asbestos pipe safety, proceed.
