Many Hands Aid Tree Fete in Sandpoint
Barbara Remmers of the Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce announced the downtown Christmas tree on First and Cedar Street was provided by Pack River Lumber Company. Ed Nettleton felled the tree. Ray Stevens and Dick McEwan cut it. Truman Bennett loaded it. Clarence Moody hauled it. The tree was raised by many volunteers with help from Pacific Power and Light Company and decorated by the Junior Federated Women's Club. The chamber extended sincere thanks to all participants.

Bomb Threat Targets Dam at Alberi Falls
An anonymous caller with a marked German accent warned police at 5 30 p m Wednesday of a government dam in Idaho that supplies Columbia River water and could be blown up Army Corps of Engineers official Paul Dupell in Seattle reported the threat to Portland Oregon authorities and asked action.
